Rick

Rick started playing guitar in the late 60's when he was in high school. Back then he played mostly with friends but was not in any band. In the 1990's he joined a "basement band" playing rhythm guitar on Friday nights using a Fender Acoustic/Electric and a Fender Stratocastor. That lasted about 10 years. Then another friend asked to start playing songs by Rick's favorite band, The Beatles. That friend is Paul of the MarlTones and now Rick primarily is playing lead guitar with the Stratocastor. Besides the Beatles, Rick likes Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Jack Johnson. Originally keyboard player in another project, Rick became rhythm guitarist, then lead guitarist. He has become quite accomplished on lead guitar. Weekly he does his "homework" and comes back with a new nearly perfect rendition of another hot lead. Rick's leads help to really separate the MarlTones from other bands.
